What is Provably Fair?
Players are always afraid of being cheated in online casinos. This is understandable because it’s technically effortless for online casinos to make you lose. In the Bitcoin gambling community, we have a solution for this which is called “Provably Fair”. Provably Fair is a tool that allows you (the player) to verify every roll result and make sure you aren’t cheated
The easy way is to just use a verifier that is proven fair, fill in the information provided by the website to you and check the results roll. Our Verifier:
- Stake verification
- Primedice verification
- BC Games verification
- Bitsler verification
- Crypto-games verification
- Duckdice verification
- Yolodice verification
- Bitdice verification
- Bustadice verification
- Bitvest verification
But I personally think it’s better to fully understand how it works, so I will try to explain the methods that prove to be fair on this page.
How does this work prove to be fair?
Although there are a number of methods that have Provably Fair we will explain the most common ones. With this method each roll-result is calculated by the following variables:
Serverseed – provided by gambling sites
Clientseed – provided by your browser and adjusted by you
Nonce – A number that increases with every bet you make
You will get an encrypted hash from servereed before you start gambling. Because you got it in advance, the site can’t change it later. But it’s encrypted, so you can’t count your own roll of results in advance (only after that if you get a servereed that isn’t shaken.)
Your browser will generate a random client feed. However, you can and must adjust this client before you begin. This way you can make sure the site doesn’t know your client beforehand.
